I am forever guilty of having a sweet-tooth. As a child, I spent most of it munching my way through tons of candies and chocolates and as a teenager, I've had this sheer weakness for cakes and pastries that actually fueled me to have a short course on basic baking. I do bake cookies and brownies but I consider myself just the hefty eater who wants to be an average baker simply because I believe that one can truly appreciate what he eats especially when that person knows the whole loving process on how those heavenly goodies came to be. Being average, I leave all the complicated baking shebang on experts.

 

Saying that I've always loved cheesecakes is an understatement. I love refrigerated cheesecakes, baked cheesecakes, cheesecakes in fro-yo, cheesecake-inspired donuts, every type, variation, if it's cheesecake, I am going to love it. So that one fateful Friday when Desserts And A Lady owner Ms. Julie asked me if she could send some of her Cheesecake Minis, well, I guess you already know what my answer is!

 

 

I was expecting three, that is one for each kind. But Desserts and A Lady went all the way and sent me 9! Nine cheesecake minis! 

 

 

Cheesecake minis in Cookies and Cream, Strawberry Yogurt, Blueberry Walnut, and Belgian Walnut

 

 

Firstly, I will have to tell you that the crust of all the cheesecakes is simply amazing! The addition of walnuts is perfect, that is because they are on the size that you can actually taste and see. The nutty flavor is a perfect complement that suited all the flavors. Given a chance, I can even eat an 18-inch cheesecake crust. It is that good. The crust alone is a testimony that Desserts and a Lady knows its craft.

 

 

         

Blueberry Walnut and Strawberry Yogurt 

This one takes the good 'ol Blueberry and Strawberry Cheesecakes to another level, adding walnuts that you can actually taste. The Strawberry Cheesecake, with an added zest of yogurt, tastes amazingly light and fresh.  Another thing that is worth mentioning on Desserts and a Lady cheesecakes is its smooth consistency, making each bite a bliss. What's more, it's not too sweet nor savory. It's a dessert that's very easy to fall in love with!

 

Cookies and Cream

 

This one is a bit on the sweet side, but it tastes heavenly nonetheless! The blending of each is ingredient is seamless.
I feel like i'm eating a cheesecake version of Oreo Cookies, only better. 

 

 

 

Belgian Walnut

 

This is my absolute favorite! It has this light, melt-in-your-mouth goodness that immediately brought that big smile to my face. The right amount of chocolatey goodness combined with crunchy walnuts is a sure-fire winner. The bitterness of the cocoa powder balanced the taste, making it seem like a small piece of heaven that you can actually eat.

The pieces may look just a biteful, but trust me, it's really very rich and filling! I can't thank Desserts and a Lady enough for sending me these wonderful treats. Baking is really such passion, and I could definitely say that Desserts and Lady captured the perfect amount of passion that gave way to the creation of such heavenly, easy-to-love pieces.
