My go-to Paella place has always been Casa Armas. They have never failed in serving me good quality paellas. It has always been cooked just right, not too wet nor dry and has that toasted crust which everyone in the table fights for. Not to mention the other scrumptious dishes they offer.

I didn’t hesitate to try out DD’s promo of Casa Armas because I knew I was in for a once in a lifetime treat! (believe me, it will never be this affordable!) I have been a fan of their Asado de Pollo Ensu Jugo Plato Speciales which would cost you php1,130 alone. This is special roast chicken served with potatoes and swimming in olive oil. Notice the perfect trussing of the chicken. Note that you have to order the chicken 4 hours in advance.

After taking pictures of the mouth-watering roast chicken, the waiter chopped it for us. It became even more appetizing, the roasted garlic and oil mixing with the chopped chicken as if they’re connected to each other. On the first bite, the chicken was rich and flavorful. The taste was clean and simple, yet different. The meat was moist, and the roasted potatoes and garlic cloves went very well with each and every bite I had.

We were also served the Paella Y Parilladas. From the name alone, I can tell that it came with grilled meats. When it came, it had barbecued pork, barbecued chicken and grilled prawns. The sweet touch of the barbecue went well with the perfectly cooked paella, moist yet fluffy and more importantly had the right seasonings.

You can also add more to your Casa Armas experience by ordering their Spanish Appetizers also known as Tapas. So if you’re looking for a place to have a hearty and comforting Spanish meal, Casa Armas will not fail you.

PS. We were a group of four that day and we weren’t able to finish the chicken and paella. I feel that the deal can go from 6-8 people depending if you’ll do some more additional orders.
